Duterte in Mar Roxas’ short list for VP bet in 2016

Senator Grace Poe is no longer the only person former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas is eyeing to be his running mate in the 2016 elections.

In an interview with local television TV 12 in Lucena City, Roxas revealed that he was also already considering Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos Recto, and Naga Representative Leni Robredo.

Even Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is in Roxas' sights.

"Mag-uusap kami kung gusto niyang magpa-konsidera," Roxas said when asked if he was also considering the outspoken mayor, who earlier said he was not seeking the presidency in 2016.

Duterte in a news conference recently said he was retiring from politics when his term ends next year. -NB, GMA News
