Ilocano politicos say 'Solid North' for Bongbong in 2016

Former Ilocos Sur Gov. Chavit Singson. and incumbent Vice Gov. Deogracias Victor "DV" Savellano have expressed their support for Senator Bonbong Marcos' vice presidential bid, expecting  that the "Solid North" vote will assure victory for the senator.

Singson and Savellano gave their remarks on Marcos on the sidelines of a launch of a coffee table book on Ilocos Sur's food heritage and wines from the products of the entire Ilocos region,

"Si Senator Bongbong kasi, basta Marcos, talagang Marcos talaga iyan... Sa tingin ko maibabalik niya ang solid North," Savellano said in an interview.

Siyempre Ilokano ako, dapat suportahan natin Ilokano," he added.

Singson said Marcos is better off running alone.
