Comelec extends voting hours for May 9 polls
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) en banc on Wednesday voted to extend the voting hours for the May 9 local and national elections.
Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said polling places on May 9 will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., instead of the usual 3 p.m. closing hour.

Jimenez said that based that the en banc considered the possibility of a higher voter turnout in this year's elections.
