Chief aide says Duterte admin execs should use simple vehicles

The camp of presumptive president Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has advised incoming government officials, especially future members of his Cabinet, not to use luxurious vehicles.

In a report by Tina Panganiban-Perez on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, Bong Go, Duterte's executive assistant, said the presidential race front-runner scoffs at luxurious vehicles.

He said Duterte uses a pickup, while his staff only have AUVs.

“Si Mayor talaga, since first term, hindi talaga pumapayag sa luxurious vehicles,” Go said.

“Siguro sumunod din iyong Gabinete niya na ganito lang sasakyan ng Presidente. Ganoon lang iyon,” he added.

Duterte once shared that during his time as a representative of Davao City in the House of Representatives, he refused to use the "8" plate because he found it "corny."  —Trisha Macas/KBK, GMA News
