'ZERO PERSONAL SPENDING'

VP-elect Robredo reports spending P418-M for campaign

Vice President-elect Leni Robredo spent more than P418 million in her successful campaign, funded by contributors as well as her political party.

Robredo's camp filed her statement of contributions and expenditures (SOCE) an hour before the 5 p.m. deadline, with pertinent documents in four office supplies boxes.

According to her SOCE, the administration candidate spent a total of P418,664,130.60.

She declared zero personal spending for her campaign, which was funded entirely by contributors and the Liberal Party (LP).

She received a total of P423,163,737.34 in contributions. Most of them came from "other sources"—P406,106,250.19 in cash and P192,338.83 in kind. LP, meanwhile, contributed P16,865,148.32 in cash.

The Comelec has yet to release the attached list of contributors in Robredo's SOCE. GMA News Online has likewise requested a copy from her camp. —JST, GMA News
