At least 2 more people die in hospital after Davao blast


At least two more people passed away as a result of injuries sustained in an explosion at a night market in Davao City on Friday night.

That is in addition to the 10 people reported dead on the spot by authorities after the blast.

RGMA Davao's Ruth Paolo Dumandan, citing a report by Southern Philippines Medical Center chief Leopoldo Vega, said that two people were confirmed dead after being rushed to the hospital.

A total of 31 people were rushed to the hospital, with 14 people reported to have suffered major injuries, while seven others underwent operation. Eight more sustained minor injuries.

Eight patients, meanwhile, were rushed at the Davao Doctor's Hospital. Seven of them were treated for injuries, while one suffered severe hypertension after the incident. --JST, GMA News
