Portrait of Duterte displayed at Indonesia’s National Monument ahead of visit

A portrait of President Rodrigo Duterte has been displayed at the National Monument in Central Jakarta, Indonesia as the country awaits his arrival.

The photo, tweeted by GMA News' Joseph Morong, was placed beside the portrait of Indonesian President Joko Widodo. It was hung up ahead of Duterte's working visit on Thursday.

Duterte is set to fly to Indonesia after attending the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Laos.

Indonesia is Duterte's second stop in his tour of neighboring Southeast Asian countries for his first international travel as head of state.
