PHL warship off to Singapore to join int'l maritime show

The Philippine Navy on Saturday conducted a send-off ceremony for BRP Gregorio del Pilar, which will participate in the International Maritime Defense Exhibition (IMDEX) in Singapore this month.

The send-off ceremony was held at Pier 13 South Harbor in Manila.

The warship is set to travel to Changi, Singapore for the IMDEX 2017 from May 16 to 18.

The IMDEX 2017 is Asia Pacific's premier international maritime defense show and a must-attend event in the global naval and maritime security calendar, which includes activities such as exhibition, conference, VIP delegations program and warship display.

Other countries that will participate in the event are Japan, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia.
