President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday met Communist Party of the Philippines (CCP) leaders Benito and Wilma Tiamzon in Malacañang.
National Democratic Front negotiating panel chairperson Fidel Agcaoili and former Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno were also in the meeting that happened ahead of the fifth round of peace talks with the communists on May 27 in The Netherlands.
Details about the meeting, which happened at the Music Room on Tuesday, are yet to be released.
This was the third time that Duterte met with the Tiamzons.
The first time was also in Malacañang in September 2016 with other communists rebels, just a month after they were released from prison to join the peace talks. The second time was in Davao City in December 2016. —NB, GMA News
