Two German nationals arrested separately for alleged kidnapping, child porn

Personnel from the Bureau of Immigration arrested two German nationals in separate operations, one of them for alleged kidnapping, and the other, for child pornography.

According to an exclusive report by John Consulta for Unang Balita on Monday, Daniel Weidmann was seen on a surveillance video of the BI's Fugitive Search Unit on board a motorcycle with two children whom he allegedly kidnapped in Austria.

Weidmann was arrested by operatives from the BI and Austrian Interpol upon his arrival back to his house.

The two German children were rescued by authorities.

Weidmann was nabbed on the basis of an arrest warrant issued in Europe.

Meanwhile, BI operatives arrested German national Olaf Homberger in an entrapment operation.

A laptop Homberger left in Germany was discovered to allegedly contain pornographic materials involving children from countries he has visited.

His passport was subsequently canceled and authorities tracked him down for being a risk to public safety.

Homberger refused to give a statement after his arrest. —KG, GMA News
