To prove that he’s giving his loved ones no special treatment, President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday claimed that he ordered law enforcers to kill any of his children if they were involved in the illegal drug trade.
“Ang order ko nga noon kung may anak ako nasa droga, patayin ninyo, para walang masabi ang tao," Duterte said after awarding outstanding government workers and groups in Malacañang.
"Kaya sabi ko diyan kay Pulong, ‘My orders [are] to kill you if you are caught and I will protect the police who will kill you kung totoo iyan’,” he added.
“The better. So that may masabi ako sa tao, ayan, daldal kayo, ayan, patay na ang katawan ng anak ko,” Duterte said.
Duterte was referring to his eldest son, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo “Pulong” Duterte who was tagged in the P6.4 billion shabu shipment mess in the Bureau of Customs.
Gordon invited Vice Mayor Duterte and the President’s son-in-law lawyer Manases Carpio to the Customs hearing after fixer Mark Taguba tagged them in the shabu shipment.
Taguba would later clear both of any involvement and clarified that his earlier statement was mere hearsay. —NB, GMA News
