Bong Go says Andanar among execs to be probed for questioned P60-M DOT ads

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar will among the officials who will be investigated in connection with the questioned P60 million worth of advertisements that the Department of Tourism had aired on state-run television PTV.

In an interview on dzMM on Wednesday afternoon, Special Assistant to the President Secretary Bong Go was asked if Andanar would be included in the probe.

"Opo.

Government-run television and radio stations are among the communications assets under the supervision of the PCOO.

Go said of the investigation.

A Commission on Audit (COA) report has questioned the P60 million in payments made to the media entity of broadcast journalist Ben Tulfo, a brother of DOT Secretary Wanda Teo, for airing the agency's ads in its "Kilos Pronto" program.

Teo, for her part, said the DOT placed its ads with the state-run station following President Rodrigo Duterte's order to all agencies to support the state television network. —Anna Felicia Bajo/NB, GMA News
