Isko Moreno appointed DSWD undersecretary

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Francisco Domagoso, more popularly known as Isko Moreno, to another government post, seven months after he quit as chairman of the North Luzon Railways Corp. (Northrail).

Duterte on Tuesday named Domagoso as undersecretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, according to the appointment paper released by Malacañang on Wednesday.

Reacting to the appointment, Domagoso said he was grateful for Duterte's trust in him.

A former Manila vice mayor, Domagoso quit as chairman and member of the board of directors of Northrail last October, just three months after his appointment, citing personal reasons.

The President, meanwhile, appointed Gerard Camiña as board member of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Antonio Joselito Lambino II as assistant secretary of the Department of Finance (DOF), and Sherwin Rigor as undersecretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).  —KBK, GMA News
