Duterte image used in Taiwan politician’s campaign billboard
It looks like President Rodrigo Duterte is being used by a Taiwanese politician to highlight his anti-drug platform.
Facebook user Nieviv Sucuaje posted pictures of the ad, featuring Duterte's image next to the politician, on a mobile billboard in Hualien.
Taiwan and the Philippines consider each other partners in the fight against big-time drug trafficking, with Taiwan representative Dr. Gary Song-Huann Lin denying that his country ever exported illegal drugs to the Philippines.
Lin's comment came a day before Duterte claimed the Bamboo Triad, the alleged Taiwan-based drug triad that had been supplying illegal drugs in the Philippines, had links with terror groups.
Recently, Taiwanese authorities turned over Ozamiz City Councilor Ricardo "Ardot" Parojinog, a suspected drug lord, to Philippine authorities after his arrest due to illegal entry. —Rie Takumi/NB, GMA News
