Duterte had dinner with family after SONA —Palace

President Rodrigo Duterte spent time with his family over dinner after his third State of the Nation Address at the House of Representatives on Monday, Malacañang said.

“He has shut the doors and he has opted to stay with his family and to eat dinner,” Duterte's spokesperson, Harry Roque, told reporters at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City.

Roque did not say who were the members of the first family present in the dinner.

Soon after the president delivered his report to the nation, presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio took to Instagram to share a rare family photo.

It featured three Duterte kids — Sara, Baste, and Paolo — standing behind their parents President Duterte and ex-wife Elizabeth Zimmerman, who were seated in front.

Roque said the Dutertes took the opportunity to have a family photo because they missed it last year after politicians swarmed them after the event. —JST, GMA News
