TV5 news team reported missing in Cagayan accounted for, is safe —network

The news team from TV5 that was earlier reported missing in Cagayan in the wake of Typhoon Ompong has been accounted for and is safe, the network said via Twitter on Sunday.

The team is now on its way to Tuguegarao City, the tweet said.

The three-man team was covering the devastation caused by Typhoon Ompong, which made landfall in Cagayan late Friday night.

A source from the network said the team just "lost signal" amid the intermittent communication signal in the typhoon-hit province.  —KBK, GMA News
