Leni, Gloria’s satisfaction ratings go down —SWS

Vice President Leni Robredo's overall net satisfaction ratings dropped seven points to 27 percent from 34 percent in September 2018, a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed on Tuesday.

Robredo's satisfaction, thus, went down from good to moderate, as per SWS standards.

The SWS poll, conducted last December 16 to 19, 2018, showed Robredo garnering 53 percent of Filipinos satisfied with her performance as against 26 percent who are dissatisfied for an overall net satisfaction score of 27 percent.

Based on SWS standards, overall net satisfaction ratings reaching 70 percent and above are considered excellent, while those within 50 to 69 percent is very good.

The 30 to 49 percent range is considered good, while the 10 to 29 percent bracket is deemed moderate.

The 9 to -9 percent is considered neutral, while the -10 to -29 percent is regarded as poor.

The decline in Robredo's overall net satisfaction score was due in part to a 15-point decrease in her overall net satisfaction rating in Balance Luzon which went down to 20 percent from 35 percent in September 2018.

Likewise, the Vice President had a reduced overall net satisfaction score in Metro Manila at 16 percent from 23 percent three months back, as well as in Mindanao (from 34 percent to 31 percent).

Robredo, however, managed to increase her overall net satisfaction rating in the Visayas to 48 percent from the previous 39 percent.

Compared to September 2018, Vice President Robredo’s net satisfaction rating also declined in all socio-demographics except among the 18-24 year olds.

From a 33 percent score in Class D, Robredo's overall net satisfaction score fell down to 26 percent which the SWS classifies as moderate.

Robredo's score stayed good in SWS standards in Class E at 46 percent, but the score was still down from her September 2018 rating of 48 percent.

Robredo's overall net satisfaction score, however, stayed neutral in Class ABC at net zero in December 2018 from two percent in September of the same year.

Speaker Gloria Arroyo, however, had a poorer rating compared with Robredo with a 21 percent overall net satisfaction rating.

It was a 17-point decline on Arroyo's overall net satisfaction score compared with her September 2018 ratings, largely due to a 23-point reduction in her rating in the Visayas which reached -15 percent in December 2018 from 8 percent in September 2018.

In contrast to the women, Senate President Vicente Sotto III posted a very good overall net satisfaction rating at 61 percent.

Sotto's 61 percent rating was a six-point rise in his overall net satisfaction rating broken down to increases of 15 points in Metro Manila, 14 points in Mindanao, and 11 points in the Visayas.

The SWS poll used face-to-face interviews on 1,440 adults aged 18 years old and above nationwide Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao each had 360 survey respondents.

The margin of error for national percentages is ±2.6 percent while the percentages in Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao used a. ±5 percent margin of error. —NB, GMA News
