Happy with foul language, fear? Vote for administration bets —Aquino

Former President Benigno Aquino III on Tuesday took a jab at the Duterte administration while campaigning for candidates of the Liberal Party-backed Otso Diretso senatorial bets.

Aquino said Filipinos should vote for the candidates Duterte endorsed if they were happy with foul language, institutions placed under attack and a climate of fear.

Aquino pointed out that there should be a balance between two opposing sides in order to come up with a "synthesis."

"May thesis... at may anti-thesis. Kapag nag-usap yung dalawa (pro-administration and opposition), baka mapaganda yung mungkahi ng bawat isa, magkakaroon ng synthesis," Aquino said.

Aquino attended a forum in the Southwestern University PHINMA in Cebu City along with the "Otso Diretso" candidates.

It was his third time to appear in public with the opposition candidates. The first time was in Caloocan City during the first day of the campaign period on February 12.

The other was during a celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution on February 23. —NB, GMA News
