Bong Go shows back to prove he has no tattoo linked to illegal drugs

SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — Senatorial candidate and former assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go showed his back Wednesday to belie accusations that he has a tattoo with a supposed code linking him to illegal drug trade.

Go took off his white campaign shirt before members of the media and put on a red one.

People inside the room laughed when someone pointed out that Go’s back has many "ventosa" marks.

Go expressed hope his showing of his back would finally end speculations about his alleged drug links.

“Klaro ha. Sana matapos na itong storya,” he said.

In an event in San Pedro, Laguna, Go also quickly lifted his shirt to show his back.

In a video titled "Ang Totoong Narco List - Episode 3,” a certain Bikoy accused Go of owning four local bank accounts and receiving drug money payoffs as much as P3 billion, then using them as campaign funds for the 2019 polls.

It also said Go, who supposedly uses the code name "TESOROGOLF-TSG-002," has a dragon tattoo on his back.

Go was referring to Bikoy’s allegations that Duterte’s youngest daughter, Veronica (nicknamed Kitty) opened a bank account in Hong Kong where the Duterte family’s take from drug money is being deposited.

Likewise, Go warned that Bikoy’s glory days are numbered.

Lahat ‘yan may hangganan,” Go added.

Go, however, won’t advise former Davao City Vice Mayor and President Duterte’s son Paolo to show his back to dispel Bikoy’s claims that Paolo also has a tattoo on his back detailing his codename in getting drug money.

“Tama si Inday Sara, right to privacy ‘yun. Go said, referring to President Duterte’s daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

In Malacañang, presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo dismissed anew the allegations against Go as "black propaganda."

"There are people who believed it. It’s now showing that it’s not true. It’s never been true,” Panelo said at a news conference.

“One who alleges must prove. They have to prove what they are saying. That’s why we’ve been repeatedly saying it’s black propaganda,” he added.

Panelo said the government will just let the opposition do what they want to do while the Duterte administration will continue working for the betterment of the lives of the Filipinos.

“They can do their worse. We will do our best,” the Palace spokesperson said.

— with Virgil Lopez/MDM/RSJ, GMA News
