PNP spox says web admin's willingness to help will expedite arrest of those behind 'Bikoy' videos

The spokesperson of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday said Rodel Jayme's willingness to help authorities in tracking those behind the series of anti-Duterte videos would hasten the arrest of the suspects.

"His willingness to cooperate with authorities is a step to expedite the arrest of those who are suspected to be behind the Ang Totoong Narco List Video," Police Colonel Bernard Banac told GMA News Online.

Banac said the police are supporting the accomplishment of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for having arrested the administrator of the website where the controversial videos were uploaded.

Jayme was the registrant and administrator of the Metro Balita website..

On April 30, NBI agents searched Jayme's house and seized his computer, mobile phone as well as his internet service provider billing statements. He voluntarily went to the NBI headquarters.

According to Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, Jayme was eventually nabbed on the basis of an NBI forensic report on the devices which were recovered from him.

Jayme then said he felt betrayed by his clients who had uploaded the videos, which linked the Duterte family to illegal drugs, on his website. —KBK, GMA News
