Trillanes tells Duterte: You aren't paid to watch Netflix

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Sunday criticized President Rodrigo Duterte for watching Netflix at home after the public missed him at work for a week.

Hindi pwede 'yan, hindi ka ordinaryong tao," Trillanes said in an interview in Super Radyo dzBB.

Duterte on Saturday sent Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat a photo of him watching "Django Unchained" on Netflix at home.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, on the other hand, derided Trillanes' comment.

As if hindi siya nagpapahinga, as if hindi siya natutulog, as if hindi siya nanonood ng TV," he said in a separate interview in dzBB.

Panelo said that Duterte was at home in Davao because he needed rest to finish a lot of paperwork after he returned from the Belt and Road forum in Beijing and added the President will preside a Cabinet meeting on Monday. —Dona Magsino/LBG, GMA News
