‘Bikoy’, narrator of videos linking Duterte kin to drugs, surfaces at IBP

A person claiming to be the man who linked members of President Rodrigo Duterte's family to illegal drugs has come forward at the Integrated Bar of the Philippines on Monday afternoon.

The man identified himself as Peter Joemel Advincula.

A hooded individual, who identified himself as Bikoy and who claimed to be a former member of a drug syndicate, appeared in a series of online videos which accused Duterte's son Paolo of receiving millions of pesos in pay offs from the drug trade.

Also mentioned in the ‘Ang Totoong Narco List’ videos were Duterte's partner Honeylet Avanceña, teenage daughter Veronica or Kitty, and former aide Bong Go.

“Nandito ako ngayon sa tanggapan ng IBP para humingi ng legal assistance. Kailangan ko ng abugado upang i-submit ang aking sinumpaang salaysay at rulungan akong magsampa ng kaso laban sa mga miyembro ng sindikato na pinangalanan ko sa video seryeng ‘Ang Totoong Narcolist‘,” Advincula said in a press conference.

Marketing executive

He claimed that he was a former marketing executive who supposedly ended up working at a drug syndicate in the country where presidential son Paolo Duterte, former assistant to the president Bong Go, presidential son-in-law Maneses Carpio and the Quadrangle Group from Bicol were alleged members.

Advincula said he surfaced primarily due to threats against his life.

“Nagdesisyon akong lumabas dahil una, merong banta sa aking buhay. Ikalawa, dahil sa tawag ng konsensya,” he said.

Dragon Tattoos

Advincula insisted that presidential son Paolo Duterte and former special assistant to the president Bong Go had dragon tattoos on their backs.

“Bahagi po ng gawain ng aming team ay ang pag-scan ng mga codes na nakaukit sa tattoo ng nga senior members ng sindikato tulad nina Paolo Duterte at Bong Go. Pinapadala ito sa financial controller ng sindikato na naka-base sa Hong Kong upang ma-validate ang mga transaksyon,” Advincula said in a press conference.

“Ilang beses din na ako mismo ang nag-iiscan ng code sa likod ni Bong Go kaya tinitiyak ko po sa inyo na may dragon tattoo siya pati na rin si Paolo Duterte,” he added.

No links with opposition, media

Advincula denied that he was connected with the opposition and media personalities, as claimed by the arrested website administrator Rodel Jayme and the Palace, respectively.

“Gusto kong linawin na wala akong kaugnayan sa kahit kaninong kandidato, lalo na sa mga kandidato ng Otso Diretso, o political party,” Advincula said.

“Wala rin akong kaugnayan sa mga media personalities at institusyon na pinangalanan ni Pangulong Duterte sa kaniyang matrix,” he added.

Further, Advincula denied that he knew Jayme and his “clients.”

Advincula said he was willing to appear before a Senate inquiry.

“Handa po akong humarap sa anumang imbestigasyon upang patotohanan ang lahat ng inilabas ko sa video serye,” Advincula said.

“Samahan niyo ako sa labang ito. Ito ang totoong war on drugs,” he added.

Previous denials

Paolo has dismissed the allegation as a fabrication.

"Wow ha kung makaimbento ka wagas," Paolo said in a Facebook post.

In the statement, it appeared that he already knew the person behind the video.

"Galit ka kay Waldo kasi binabara niya lahat ng smuggling mo ng bigas at asukal diba J.S. Galit ka sa akin kasi di kita pinansin sa eroplano kasi hambog ka!" Paolo said.

"Ngayon pansinin na kita kasama ng kamay ko na kasing laki ng mukha mo pag nangyari yan. Yan ang totoong balita!"

Avanceña has also cried foul over the series of online videos linking members of the presidential family to illegal drugs.

"Tell them, pag sure oi. Napaka walang hiya ko naman na nanay kung ipangalan ko sa anak ko," Avanceña told GMA News.

Go, on the other hand, showed his back to reporters covering his senatorial campaign.
