PARTIAL, UNOFFICIAL COUNT

Villar, Poe continue to lead in Senate race

Reelectionists Cynthia Villar and Grace Poe continued to lead all senatorial candidates in the May 13 elections after 96.06% of election returns were processed based on the partial and unofficial count from Comelec's transparency server as of 5:10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Villar and Poe were followed by former Special Assistant to the President Christopher "Bong" Go, Taguig City Representative Pia Cayetano, and former Bureau of Corrections chief Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa.

Securing the 12th spot was Senator Nancy Binay with 14,217,966 votes, so far. The rest of the Top 12 are as follows:

At 13th place was incumbent Senator JV Ejercito with 13,975,299 votes, followed by opposition bet Senator Bam Aquino with 13,864,981 votes, and Jinggoy Estrada with 11,100,584 votes.

The partial and unofficial results as of 5:10 a.m. reflected 45,993,876 votes out of the 63,662,481 registered.

The unofficial count was delayed after the application responsible for pushing out the results from the Commission on Elections' (Comelec) transparency server to third-party organizations suffered a glitch on Monday shortly after the polls closed.

Another error early Tuesday caused a dip in the transparency survey results. The number of election returns processed was already at 92.89 percent as of 5:20 a.m. but this went down to 49.76 percent at around 6:21 a.m.

Comelec Commissioner Marlon Casquejo said this was merely a "java error," and that it affected all media networks and organizations sourcing data from the transparency server.

The count for the rest of the senatorial candidates and all local positions are available on the Eleksyon 2019 website—Jessica Bartolome and Dona Magsino/KG/KBK/NB/BAP, GMA News
