Ronnie Dayan's daughter ordered arrested for skipping De Lima's disobedience hearing

A Quezon City court has ordered the arrest of the daughter of Ronnie Dayan, detained Senator Leila de Lima's former driver and alleged bagman, according to Allan Gatus' report on Dobol B sa News TV on Wednesday.

Hannah Mae Dayan was ordered arrested for failing to show up during the day's hearing to testify against De Lima in her disobedience to summons case.

De Lima was accused of instructing Ronnie Dayan not to attend congressional hearings on her alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade through Hannah May.

The order to issue a warrant of arrest against Hannah May was given by QC Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 34 Judge Ma. Ludmila De Pio Lim.

The arrest ordered the sheriff in Urbiztondo, Pangasinan, to bring Hannah Mae to court.

During the day's hearing, Hannah Mae's counsel, Atty. Heidi Soriano of the Public Attorney's Office, presented to the court medical certificate to show that her client is three months pregnant and is in sensitive condition.

The court reportedly did not accept the medical certificate because it was not notarized.

Hannah Mae's camp is set to appeal the issuance of the warrant of arrest.

De Lima is facing charges for allegedly benefiting in the illegal drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prisons during her stint as Department of Justice secretary. —KBK, GMA News
