Advincula tags Trillanes, LP in anti-Duterte videos

Insisting that he is "Bikoy" in the series of anti-Duterte videos, Peter Joemel Advincula on Thursday tagged Senator Antonio Trillanes IV as the mastermind behind the controversial videos.

At a press conference, Advincula, who surrendered to the police on Wednesday, claimed that the "Ang Totoong Narcolist" videos were all lies designed by Trillanes, with the help of the Liberal Party, to discredit incoming senator Bong Go.

"Actually after this press conference, kung maniniwala pa ang tao sa akin... ang lahat ng nangyari sa Totoong Narcolist, video episode one to video episode five, 'yung na-record ko, lahat 'yun pawang scripted, pawang kasinungalingan," he said.

"Itong paputok ng kay Bikoy [ay] para ma-discredit si Senator-elect Bong Go, 'yung iba pang mga sangkot na pulitiko... 'Yun ay pawang orchestrated lamang ng Liberal Party under the handle of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV," he added.

According to Advincula, he was offered P500,000 to take part in the video, however, he did not receive any payment.

New plot vs. opposition

In a statement, Trillanes denied Advincula's allegation, saying it could be a new plot by the administration to "harass" the political opposition.

"I deny the allegations made by this Bikoy character. This could be another ploy of the administration to harass the opposition," he said, adding he would consult with his lawyers to determine what charges could be filed against Advincula.

Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon, for his part, denied that the LP, of which he is vice chairman, is behind the anti-Duterte videos.

"The Liberal Party had nothing to do with the so-called Bikoy video," he said. "We deny the accusations."

Drilon urged the PNP to get to the bottom of the issue and file the appropriate charges.

Likewise, Otso Diretso senatorial candidates Gary Alejano and Romulo Macalintal denied Advincula's claim that they, except for Manuel "Mar" Roxas, had met with him.

"Project Sodoma"

Advincula, at the press conference, said it took nine months to create the series of videos, which also aimed to put the Duterte administration in a bad light.

He added that there were also some church organizations involved in the plan that he said is dubbed "Project Sodoma."

"Ang Project Sodoma ay isang proyekto para pabagsakin si Presidente Duterte at ang makaupo sa posisyon si Vice President Leni Robredo," Advincula said.

"Hinahabol ni Senator Trillanes bago matapos ang term niya dahil kapag napabagsak si President Duterte, ang uupo the Vice President and the Vice President will appoint a certain congressman o senator to be the Vice President. Sonny will be the line. 'Yun ang plano," he added.

Robredo is LP's chairperson.

Advincula said he met Trillanes through a priest he identified as Fr. Albert Alejo.

Advincula surfaced at the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) office earlier this month and claimed that he is "Bikoy," the narrator of the "Ang Totoong Narcolist" videos which linked the First Family and Go to the illegal drug trade.

Go, formerly President Rodrigo Duterte's special assistant, was then running for senator under the administration banner.

Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV, Go said he is convinced that Trillanes is behind the anti-Duterte videos.

"Hindi niya (Advincula) magagawa 'yan ng mag-isa. Ibig sabihin talagang ginamit 'yan ni Trillanes. Alam niyo naman napakadumi ni Trillanes maglaro ng pulitika," he said.

Advincula is facing arrest for estafa and large scale illegal recruitment.

During Thursday's press conference, he said he had tried to seek Trillanes' assistance so that he could post bail on his cases, but the senator's chief security did not allow him to talk to Trillanes. —KBK/RSJ, GMA News
