Bong Go convinced Trillanes behind Bikoy videos

Senator-elect Christopher "Bong" Go on Thursday said he believes Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is really the brains behind the anti-Duterte videos as bared by Peter Joemel Advincula, who claimed to be the hooded man "Bikoy" in the videos.

"Hindi niya (Advincula) magagawa 'yan ng mag-isa. Ibig sabihin talagang ginamit 'yan ni Trillanes. Alam niyo naman napakadumi ni Trillanes maglaro ng pulitika," Go said in an interview on Dobol B sa News TV.

Go said the supposed plot to discredit the Duterte administration through the videos "backfired" when none of the senatorial candidates of the opposition won in the recently concluded elections.

He also said the group must face public reckoning for what it did.

"Talagang pinaglaruan po nila ang taumbayan, so sila na po ang dapat managot sa taumbayan sa ginagawa nila. Bilog naman ang mundo, may panahon din ang mga iyan," Go said.

At a press conference following his surrender to the police earlier in the day, Advincula said Trillanes got help from the Liberal Party and religious organizations.

The videos, dubbed "Ang Totoong Narcolist," accused Go and members of the Duterte family of receiving drug money.

Trillanes and LP, through its vice chairman Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon, have denied involvement in the video series. —KBK, GMA News
