‘Bikoy’ Advincula leaves PNP; cops see no reason to monitor him

Peter Joemel Advincula, the man who claimed to be the hooded narrator in a series of anti-Duterte videos, left Camp Crame on Saturday afternoon, a day after posting bail.

Advincula, who introduced himself as alias "Bikoy," exited the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group office accompanied by his sibling, and boarded a car, Isa Avendaño-Umali reported on Super Radyo dzBB.

According to the report, Advincula did not utter a word during his exit.

Advincula's sibling told reporters they will go straight to their relatives, but did not specify whether they were within or outside Metro Manila.

Authorities said Advincula did not say whether he was receiving threats to his life.

Asked if the PNP will keep an eye on Advincula, PNP-CIDG-NCR chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Arnold Ibay said:  "[We see] no reason to monitor him... As far as we are concerned ni-release na namin siya." — Jamil Santos/MDM, GMA News
