Imee wants Igorot ritual before occupying Trillanes' office; Bato will apply feng shui

Senator-elect Imee Marcos is mulling having an Igorot perform a ritual to have her new Senate office be "blessed" after learning that it was previously occupied by outgoing Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, a staunch critic of the Duterte administration.

“Siguro magpapatawag ako ng mga Igorot namin dahil kailangan basbasan ang office ko dahil kay Sen. Trillanes yata ang nabunot,” Marcos told reporters after the orientation on newly-elected senators.

She said she would ask Trillanes to join her in dancing with the Igorots.

“‘Yun na lang ang natira so kung papayag si Senator Trillanes, sasabihin ko kay Sonny (Trillanes’ nickname) makikisayaw kami du'n sa mga Igorot namin para mabendisyonan ng todo,” she added.

She later said that she was just joking.

Senator-elect Ronald dela Rosa, on the other hand, wanted to apply feng shui in rearranging his new office. He will occupy the extension office of Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri.

“Ipa-feng shui kung saan ka uupo, wala namang mawawala sa atin kung maniwala tayo,” he told reporters while inspecting the room.

He said he also consulted a feng shui expert for his office at the Philippine National Police.

“Oo (pina-feng shui ko) kaya tignan niyo kahit gaano ako ginigiba, hindi ako nag-resign kasi maganda pagka-feng shui. Wala namang mawala kung maniwala tayo,” he said.

Dela Rosa, former chief of the Philippine National Police and the Bureau of Corrections, said he likes the aura of his new office.

“Maganda, positive sa akin ang dating. Maganda ang buhay ko dito,” he said.

Meanwhile, Senator-elect Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go will occupy the office of outgoing Senator Gregorio Honasan II while Senator-elect Francis Tolentino will get the office of outgoing Senator JV Ejercito. —KG, GMA News
