Former special assistant to the president Christopher "Bong" Go took his oath as a senator of the 18th Congress before President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday.

Go placed third in the Senatorial race in the midterm elections held in May.

He resigned as Duterte's top aide before filing his certificate of candidacy in October 2018.

He recently accompanied the President to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Bangkok, Thailand as a "private adviser." — BAP, GMA News
