LPGMA Rep. Rodolfo Albano Jr. passes away

Incumbent LPGMA party-list Representative Rodolfo Albano Jr. has passed away Tuesday afternoon, his son Isabela Governor Rodito Albano III confirms.

According to Rodito, his father died at 6 p.m.due to heart failure. He was 85 years old.

Prior to serving as LPGMA party-list representative, the elder Albano was a congressman representing the then-lone district of Isabela from 1970 to 1972 and the first district of the same province from 1987 to 1998, 2001 to 2004, and 2010 to 2013.

He was also an assemblyman at the Interim Batasang Pambansa from 1978 to 1984.

Rodolfo Jr. also previously served as judge of the Criminal Circuit Court in Davao City during the Marcos martial law years and as chairman of the Energy Regulatory Commission.

Rodito said the wake for his father will start on Wednesday at Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City.

There will also be a memorial service at the House of Representatives on Thursday. —LDF, GMA News
