Aetas from Tarlac give 10,000 kilos of sweet potatoes as Christmas gifts to Baseco residents

Few days before Christmas, a group of Aetas from Tarlac traveled all the way to the city to give sacks of sweet potatoes as gifts to residents of Baseco, Manila on Friday.

The sacks of sweet potatoes given by the Aetas as Christmas gifts totaled to 10,000 kilos, according to a "24 Oras" report by Arnold Clavio.

They were joined by the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Air Force during their first gift-giving mission.

Philippine Air Force Director for Civil-Military Operations Benjie Aldimor said that this proves that Aetas are not beggars.

The gift-giving mission shows the Aetas' big heart, sharing their blessings this Christmas season, he added. —Angelica Yang/LDF, GMA News
