Robredo thanks Pinoys for continued support amid higher ratings

The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo on Monday expressed gratitude to the Filipino people after her trust and approval ratings went up in the latest Pulse Asia survey.

According to the results of the survey, Robredo got an approval rating of 58%, an 8% increase from September.

Her trust rating also went up by 7% to 53% from September's 46%.

"This is affirmation that her quiet yet committed efforts on behalf of our countrymen continue to bear fruit more than halfway into her term as VP," lawyer Barry Gutierrez, spokesperson for Robredo, said in a statement.

"This will serve as further encouragement to work even harder for the lives, welfare, and rights of every Filipino family, especially the underprivileged and marginalized," he added.

The same survey results showed that President Rodrigo Duterte's approval and trust ratings went up to 87% and 83%, respectively, which are both 9% higher than his ratings in September.

Meanwhile, Senate President Vicente Sotto III's approval and trust ratings went up to 84% and 78%, respectively, from 72% and 66% three months ago.

Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, on the other hand, got the highest jump among the four top officials, with his approval rating going up 16% to 80%, and his trust rating going up 14% to 76%.  — Erwin Colcol/RSJ, GMA News
