Duterte shown eating breakfast at a Davao City carinderia

President Rodrigo Duterte had breakfast at a carinderia in Davao City early Saturday morning, according to former special assistant Senator Bong Go.

"Kung Hei Fat Choi!! Happy new year !! Maaga nag almusal kanina si Tatay Digong," Go wrote in a Facebook post.

Among the dishes that the President had for breakfast were pancit, sinigang, and tinola.

According to a Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS) report, Duterte included some of his favorite Pinoy dishes in the menu during his presidential inauguration in 2016.

Some of these Filipino classics are turon, pandesal with kesong puti, durian tart, vigan longganisa, pritong saba and monggo.

It was also revealed that the President's comfort food was grilled tuna belly.

In the KMJS report, there was a carinderia on Juan Luna Extension in Davao that Duterte often frequented in 2016. He usually ordered the carinderia's popular hinalang or carabeef soup. —Angelica Y. Yang/DVM/KG, GMA News
