Palace requires visitors to declare travel history amid nCoV threat

Malacañang is now requiring visitors to disclose details about their health and travel history in light of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

On Thursday, guests had to fill out a health declaration form before they were given entry to the presidential palace where President Rodrigo Duterte led the oath-taking ceremony for new government officials.

Presidential Security Group commander Brigadier General Jose Eriel Niembra said the health declaration form is part of the preventive measures against nCoV.

Last week, the PSG directed personnel deployed at the Malacañang Complex to wear face masks and recommended to the Palace’s Internal House Affairs Office the suspension of Palace tours.

The Philippines already has three confirmed nCoV cases, including one fatality. — Virgil Lopez/RSJ, GMA News
