ABS-CBN management favored certain candidates, says Alan Cayetano

Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano on Monday claimed that he had evidence evidence to show that the management of ABS-CBN favored certain candidates in past elections.

Cayetano made the remark amid the Senate's hearing on the ABS-CBN legislative franchise and the continued pendency in the House of the measure.

"Kung ano man ang lumabas sa Senado, that's the only half, one-fourth, one-third of the story. Marami pang may alam, na hindi naman pinatawag ng Senado, or kumukuha pa ng lakas ng loob," Cayetano said.

"There are still a lot of facts that will come out later on that will show that there were some lapses at the very mildness, or at worse, na tumaya talaga ang ABS-CBN management for some candidates. We have the evidence for that," he added.

Cayetano, the running-mate of President Rodrigo Duterte in the 2016 elections, has revealed the "unfair airtime" issue he personally experienced with ABS-CBN.

"Ako mismo, apat kaming naimbitihan na vice president candidate sa dzMM. ‘Yung isa, nilabas sa 6:30 news, sa Bandila, sa Umagang Kay Ganda, and lunch time," Cayetano said in November.

"‘Yung dalawa sa amin, dzMM and then Bandila. ‘Yung isa sa amin, sa dzMM, hindi lumabas sa iba," he added. —NB, GMA News
