People Power anniversary draws close to 3,000 rallyists in Mendiola

Close to 3,000 rallyists flocked to Mendiola on Tuesday to stage protests in commemoration of the 34th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.

According to a 24 Oras report, the protesters slammed President Rodrigo Duterte’s alleged efforts to stifle his critics.

A church group also said that while they agree with the termination of the Philippines’ Visiting Forces Agreement with the United States, it was initiated for the wrong reasons.

Also present in Mendiola alongside the protesters were some pro-Duterte groups.
