Satisfaction poll proves Robredo's ICAD stint was productive –OVP

The three percent increase in Vice President Leni Robredo's net satisfaction rating proved that the public was satisfied with the work she had done as co-chair of the Inter-Agency Committee Against Illegal Drugs (ICAD), the Vice President' Office said Tuesday.

A fourth-quarter 2019 Social Weather Stations (SWS) poll found that Robredo’s net satisfaction rating reached 36 percent, a three-point gain from her 33 percent rating from 2019's third quarter.

Robredo was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte’s ICAD co-chair and the Vice President agreed to take the post on November 6, 2019.

However, she was abruptly fired by the President on November 24.

During her 19-day ICAD tenure, Robredo called for a stop to the killings that accompanied the police’s anti-drug operations; met officials and diplomats to search for data on drug dependents, those on the drug list, the amount of seized drugs as against target seizures, list of high-value targets; as well as visited areas considered drug-infested by the police and community-based rehabilitation centers, among others.

She later released a 42-page report on her ICAD stint which stated that the drug war had failed to reduce the drug supply in the country, with only one percent of the estimated drug supply being seized by authorities for the last three years based on figures given by the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.  — DVM, GMA News
