Duterte, Bong Go submit samples for COVID-19 test

President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go have completed the requirements for the laboratory tests that would determine whether or not they have the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Go sent photos of him and Duterte sitting side by side at an outdoor portion of the Bahay ng Pagbabago inside the Malacanang Complex.

A medical personnel from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine was also seen near them.

In another photo, Duterte was seen getting ready for specimen collection.

The procedure was completed at 5 p.m. on Thursday, according to Go.

Results of the tests will be out in 48 hours, he added.

Duterte will be delivering a message to the nation amid the COVID-19 situation on Thursday night. —NB, GMA News
