Some fast food chains to go to for drive-thru, delivery during quarantine

Local fast food chains Jollibee, McDonald's and KFC have recently released their new schedule of operations in light of the recent enhanced community quarantine in the metro.

Jollibee announced on Facebook that it would be temporarily closing some of its stores in Luzon.

Stores that are still open will be offering drive-thru and delivery services. Take-out will also be offered by several stores, if local ordinances in the area allow it.

"You may also visit JollibeeDelivery.com to continue enjoying your Jollibee favorites," the food chain said. However, it added the delivery of orders may take longer than usual.

Jollibee also said that it has "intensified its sanitation and social distancing protocols" for the safety of its store teams and riders.

Another food chain McDonald's (McDo) said that it would continue its operations nationwide, "but with limitations in Luzon."

Some of the changes in its Luzon-based stores include: limited delivery hours from 7 am to 4:30 pm but this can vary per area; the taking of orders through hotlines, website, the app, and food delivery services; and no guarantee of delivery time.

McDo also said that "not all addresses may be covered."

"Our stores in Visayas in Mindanao remain open for Dine-in, Drive-Thru and Take-Out, unless local government guidelines will advise us otherwise," said McDo in a statement on Facebook.

"We are strictly implementing our No-Touch guidelines, whether for Dine-in, Drive-Thru, Take-Out or McDelivery," it added.

Food chain KFC announced on Facebook that it would be opening select stores for customers for take out and delivery requests.

It said that delivery requests can be made via kfc.com.ph.

"To accommodate as much people as we can, we are temporarily suspending the 30  min delivery time policy," KFC said.

President Duterte has recently implemented the enhanced Luzon-wide community quarantine in an effort to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

On Tuesday, the president placed the entire country under a state of calamity, allowing the government to tap more funds in arresting the COVID-19.
