Blood donation drives affected by COVID-19 situation —DOH

The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday acknowledged that the enhanced community quarantine due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has affected the conduct of blood donation activities in the country.

Vergeire said the DOH is currently tapping some partners from the uniformed and private sectors to safely donate blood amid the health emergency.

We ensure there is physical distancing, there are schedules. Hindi po tayo nagsasama-sama sa isang lugar."

Luzon and other areas in the country are now implementing an enhanced community quarantine to combat the spread of COVID-19. The public is advised to stay at home as much as possible. --KBK, GMA News
