NDRRMC’s Jalad undergoes self-quarantine

National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) executive director Ricardo Jalad decided to undergo self-quarantine after being in contact with Armed Forces chief General Felimon Santos who has tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to the NDRRMC on Friday, Jalad has not been manifesting any flu-like symptoms but as a protocol, he will undergo home quarantine for 14 days.

Lei Bendijo, Office of Civil Defense Public Affairs Office acting chief, said Jalad had contact with Santos last Saturday and Monday.

Santos later tested positive for the disease, according to Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.
