DSWD rolls out social amelioration forms for emergency subsidy program

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has distributed social amelioration card forms which will be used as the basis of local authorities in providing aid to the families who would benefit from the emergency subsidy program.

In a live interview on Tuesday, DSWD Director Irene Dumlao said the card forms will be accomplished by the head of the family where they will fill in the necessary information.

"Ang social amelioration card po ay ang magiging basihan ng mga local government units at ng DSWD sa pagbibigay ng tulong sa mga naapektuhan," Dumlao said.

Dumlao said the card forms were given on a house-to-house basis.

The director also reiterated that local government units will provide the list of around 18 million low-income Filipino families who would benefit from the program.

Those who will be included will receive cash and non-cash monthly assistance amounting to P5,000 to 8,000 for two months.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed cases nationwide has climbed to 2,084 with 88 fatalities and 49 recoveries. — RSJ, GMA News
