The number of police officers infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) increased to 22, Philippine National Police spokesman Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac said on Tuesday.
In a press statement, Banac said the additional cases were a 44-year-old male, a 34-year-old male, and another 44-year-old male, all of whom were in Metro Manila.
The number of persons under investigation for COVID-19 within the PNP meanwhile rose to 242, while those listed as persons under monitoring were 1,384.
The PNP earlier reported that of the total number of COVID-19 cases, two police officers had already recovered while two others unfortunately died.
