Duterte: Remains of COVID-19 cases undeclared by kin to be taken, burned

The families of suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases who have died but who refuse to declare the condition of their dead will have the remains taken from them and brought to the crematorium to be burned, President Rodrigo Duterte said on Monday night.

In his weekly address to the country amid the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon, Duterte ordered barangay chairpersons to determine the causes of death of those who lie in state in their respective communities.

"It behooves upon the barangay captain to see to it that kung sino yung namatay, siguraduhin lang pagsabi heart attack, kasi kung walang pinagsasabi, then testing kaagad. Yung pamilya mismo nung namatayan, testing kaagad," he added.

-NB, GMA News
