Ride-hailing services allowed in GCQ areas - Palace

Ride-hailing services such as Grab are allowed to operate in areas under general community quarantine, Malacañang said Friday.

“Kung ang TNVS (transport network vehicle service) po ay mga Grab eh limitado po ang pasahero pero sa GCQ lang po, hindi sa ECQ (enhanced community quarantine),” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a televised briefing.

Under the guidelines released by the Department of Transportation (DOTr), taxis and TNVS are allowed to operate but subject to strict physical distancing and sanitary practices.

Multiple bookings in a single trip for TNVS are prohibited.




Public transportation in areas with low to moderate risk of COVID-19 transmission can resume operations on Friday following a decision by the national government.—AOL, GMA News
