Senators share light moment due to Villar's blooper during hybrid session

The senators had a good laugh during the "hybrid" plenary session on Monday as their colleague Senator Cynthia Villar forgot to mute her microphone.

"O anong sagot dito Dianne? Dianne?" Villar asked her Senate staff, unaware that she was being heard by fellow lawmakers.

Realizing her blooper, the senator apologized immediately and turned off her mic.

"Senator Villar, you are well advised to put off your microphone," Senate President Vicente Sotto III said while laughing.

Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri also noted that they were having technical difficulties with Villar's microphone

"I move that Diane be recognized, Mr. President," Senator Sonny Angara said in jest.

After sharing the light moment, the Senate proceedings continued.

The Senate recently amended its rules to allow both the virtual and physical attendance of its members amid the threat of COVID-19.—AOL, GMA News
