IATF amends guidelines on COVID-19 community quarantine enforcement

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has tweaked the guidelines governing the implementation of quarantine measures in the country to contain the further spread of COVID-19.

In its Resolution No. 30, series of 2020, the IATF amended, revised and/or clarified the Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines.

The government defined “minimum public health standards” as the guidelines set by the Department of Health in its Administrative Order No. 2020-0015.

The Department of Tourism and Department of Public Works and Highways are recognized as sector-national agencies with respect to tourism and construction for the observance of minimum public health standards.

Also, the IATF tweaked the definitions of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) and modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).

In the previous omnibus guidelines, the government body provided details how the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), general community quarantine (GCQ), and MGCQ will be implemented.

Below is the full text of the updated version of the Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines.
