Duterte greets Sara on her birthday, says he predicted she would become Davao mayor

President Rodrigo Duterte gave a warm birthday greeting to his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, as she turned 42 on Sunday.

In his message, Duterte looked back to when he first held Sara as a baby and called her Inday.

In his message, the President also said that he knew even back then that she would become mayor of Davao City someday.

Moreover, Duterte told his daughter to continue to work hard.

“So ‘Day, be true to your country, work hard for the people and the rewards, I think maybe are there made in heaven, not here. Trabaho ka lang and be good. Happy birthday. I love you,” he said. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
