PDEA agents arrest shabu maker in Laguna; P3.4-M shabu seized

Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Wednesday arrested a drug personality in Laguna province who supposedly manufactures shabu.

A Super Radyo dzBB report by Ralph Obina identified the suspect as a certain Samson Tan. Two other cohorts of Tan were also arrested during the buy-bust operation.

Information from PDEA stated that suspected shabu worth P3.4 million, a weighing scale, and other drug paraphernalias were seized during the operation.

Interviewed on the radio report, PDEA director general Wilkins Villanueva said Tan is a huge source of illegal drugs in the country.

"Although kaunti lang nakuha nating item pero nakuha natin ang main target natin which is Samson Tan. [Si] Samson Tan ay isa sa pinakamalaking gumagawa ng shabu sa Pilipinas," Villanueva said.

Tan was already nabbed before but he was released from prison so he continued his illegal drugs operations.

"Noong nasa New Bilibid Prison pa siya, siya 'yung tagalinis ng mga pangit na pagkakagawa ng shabu para idistribute naman doon sa mga preso during that time. Sa ngayon paglabas niya since 2018, patuloy pa rin ang paggawa niya ng shabu," Villanueva said. -NB, GMA News
