DOTr to open six more bus routes next week

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) will be adding a total of six more bus routes in Metro Manila and nearby provinces on Friday and Monday.

According to Ivan Mayrina's report on "24 Oras," the routes which will be opened on Friday include routes from Balagtas to Monumento, EDSA to Montalban in Rizal, and the NAIA loop.

"Ito po ay parte ng aming gradual and calibrated approach sa resumption ng public transportation," DOTr assistant secretary Goddes Hope Libiran said.

"...nagbigay ng direktiba ang presidente na dagdagan pa ang ruta ng mga bus na bumabyahe sa Metro Manila simula bukas, araw ng Biyernes. Alinsunod dito, tatlong ruta po ang binuksan ng DOTr bukas at tatlong ruta po ang dadagdag sa Lunes," presidential spokesperon Harry Roque said.

The three other routes will be from Monumento to Valenzuela Gateway Complex, Gilmore to Taytay, Rizal, and Monumento to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
